a few of my favorite things

I am Madison Wilson- an 18 year old girl pursuing my passion for photography! I am currently based out of Steamboat Springs CO, where I was born and raised. My journey to photography began my sophomore year of high school! I then went onto take every photography class my school offered. Eventually I was enrolled in AP photography-that was the class that really changed the game for me. I was able to express my own style through photography, instead of following prompts like before. That same year my loving parents surprised me with my first camera! I fell in love and began documenting real life moments in my own world. I did this simply because I could look back and relive those precious moments. During this time I also realized how inspired I was by the small, rural ski town I grew up in. Steamboat Springs, CO is one of a kind! It remains a historic ski town with deep western roots. The American West is alive and well in the Yampa Valley. I continue to be mesmerized by the wide open spaces that surround me. The snow capped mountains that hold our valley in, the ominous skies, and the fields of golden wheat dotted with cattle all make me feel alive adventurous and bold.
